A few of the things homeowners often want to understand first.
Do you perform the renovation work?
No. Construction work is performed directly by the Japanese renovation or construction company contracted by the homeowner. We provide homeowner-side coordination and project-management support.
Do I contract with you or the builder?
Both relationships are separate. You contract directly with the company carrying out construction, and separately with Japan Home Guide for homeowner-representation and project-management services.
Can you help compare renovation quotes?
Yes. We help explain differences in scope, inclusions, exclusions, materials, assumptions and other factors that may not be clear from a headline price alone.
Can you work with a contractor I already know?
Where appropriate, we can support communication and coordination with an existing contractor. We begin by understanding what the project needs.
Do you only work in Tokyo?
Our work is primarily focused on the Kanto region. Projects elsewhere in Japan may be considered depending on location, scope and the support required.
